The WWE has been around for 71 years. In that time we’ve seen some revolutionary superstars enter the squared circle. Think Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Andre The Giant, Randy Savage and so many others. Narrowing down a top 10 list is insanely hard to do but in honor of WrestleMania week, here we go.

10. Triple H

Triple H has had an enormous influence on the WWE as a 14-time world champion and one of the most potent forces behind the scenes. Triple H has had a lasting impact on the business, from his iconic matches with stars like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to his position as COO of WWE, Triple H’s presence in the company will be felt long after he decides to call it quits on this career.

9. Randy Orton 

Randy Orton’s brutal attitude and natural skill in the ring have defined his career. As a heel, he’s known as one of the greatest of all time, taking out legends and making a whole persona out of that. As a face, he lights up the ring with his charisma and electricity. Orton is a 14-time world champion, and his resume of achievements is impressive. From his development as an Evolution member to his legendary RKO finisher. 

8. The Rock

You most likely associate “The Rock” with two things. His career as a wrestler or in Hollywood. A few individuals who completed both were successful in finding their hot spot in either one. However, The Rock keeps erasing distinctions between acting and professional wrestling, appearing to switch between the two at the snap of his fingers. The Rock, a two-time Royal Rumble champion and multiple WWE champions, is one of the most adored characters in WWE history thanks to his explosive presence and biting sense of humor.

7. CM Punk 

Due to his unwavering honesty and rebellious spirit, CM Punk has become one of the most divisive characters in WWE history. Punk’s legendary “pipe bomb” promo, his spectacular feuds with John Cena and The Rock, and his dual titles as a two-time WWE champion and a one-time World Heavyweight champion have cemented his place in the wrestling industry.

6. Brock Lesnar

There is no one in the WWE like Brock Lesnar. Lesnar, the youngest WWE champion in history and a multiple world champion is most known for his devastating F-5 finisher and his feuds with The Undertaker and John Cena. His unmatched agility and physical power have made him a formidable opponent in all of professional wrestling, not limited to WWE alone. 

5. Shawn “HBK” Michaels 

One of the best performers in WWE history, Shawn Michaels is well-known for his unmatched skills in the ring and fascinating personality. Michaels’ rivalry with Bret Hart, his two Royal Rumble victories, his four world championships, and his iconic battles at WrestleMania with the likes of Chris Jericho, John Cena, Kurt Angle, and arguably the two best WrestleMania matches of all time with The Undertaker

4. Hulk Hogan

It is impossible to overestimate Hulk Hogan’s influence on professional wrestling. During the 1980s wrestling boom, Hogan’s unparalleled charisma and extravagant style brought the company to previously unheard-of heights. Hogan is a six-time WWE champion and a cultural icon whose impact goes well beyond the squared circle, influencing sports entertainment for future generations.

3. The Undertaker

The Undertaker has frightened opponents for more than thirty years and mesmerized spectators with his otherworldly presence. With 21 matches in a historic undefeated run at WrestleMania, The Deadman has come to be associated with the biggest event in the WWE schedule. The Undertaker, a multi-time tag team champion and seven-time world champion, will always be remembered as one of the most enduring and respected characters in WWE history.

2. Stone Cold Steve Austin

A true legend, Steve Austin had a huge influence on the WWE throughout the Attitude Era. Austin changed the industry and became well-known throughout the world with his rebellious spirit and straight-forward manner. After winning three Royal Rumble matches and becoming a six-time WWE champion, Austin’s legendary rivalry with Vince McMahon and his catchphrases have cemented his status as one of the best of all time.

John Cena is one of the most recognizable characters in WWE history because of his unwavering work ethic and captivating personality. The 16-time world champion has been the face of the organization for more than ten years and has headlined numerous WrestleMania events.
